There are a few options to purchase your pass!
From the app

Tap Get a Pass and select your desired pass.
Head to the Bluebikes station you'd like to use and tap on the station icon on the map
Select "Unlock a bike" and a 5-digit ride code will appear on the screen
Type the 5-digit ride code into any dock with an available bike to unlock the bike
When the light on the dock turns green, you’re ready to ride!

You can purchase a 24-hour pass or one-way Single Trip at any Bluebikes kiosk.

Your ride code will appear on the screen (some kiosks have the option to print this code as well), or buy a bike key for $3 at a station with a key dispenser. Find these dispensers on the Station Map.
Pick out the bike(s) – skip any docks with a red light
Type your ride code into the keypad on the bike dock(s) within 5 minutes, or use your key to unlock a bike

From the website
Monthly and annual memberships are available online.

Confirm your membership request
You'll be given two options to get your member key:
You can wait to get your key in the mail, which usually takes about a week
You can pick up your key at one of our key dispensers, which can be found at select stations (look for the grey key option on the System Map).
If you choose to wait for your key in the mail, you can still start riding right away. Go to any Bluebikes kiosk and insert the credit card associated with your account to get a one-time-use ride code (don’t worry, you won’t be charged again).
Once you get your ride code, type it into the keypad on a dock with an available bike to unlock the bike. To ride again, insert the same credit card to get a new ride code.
Discounted memberships are available from the website to anyone who receives public assistance. More information can be found here.
NOTE: If you are an international visitor and unable to download the Bluebikes app, we apologize for the inconvenience. We are working hard to increase our global availability. In the meantime, you can access the Bluebikes website on your mobile phone.
While riding, make sure you stick to the time limits specified in your membership plan: 30 minutes for single rides, 2 hours for the Day Pass, and 45 minutes for monthly and annual members. Rides that go beyond those times are subject to extra time fees.
End your ride by ensuring the bike is properly locked. Return the bike to any Bluebikes station by pushing the bike firmly into the dock. Wait for the green light to ensure it’s locked.
